Ingredients

2 cups basil leaves
½ cup pine nuts
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 garlic clove, loosely chopped
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup olive oil
¼ cup grated Parmesan
Perfect for pasta, used as a dip or honestly anything! So fresh and delicious. Get creative and add in things like sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers and even goat cheese!

Instructions

1.In a food processor, combine pine nuts, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pulse until chopped and combined well.
2.Add in the basil and pulse to combine.
3.While the food processor is still running, drizzle in the olive oil, pulsing until combined.
4.While the food processor is still running, drizzle in the olive oil, pulsing until combined.

Notes

  • Perfect for pasta, used as a dip or honestly anything!  So fresh and delicious.
  • You can omit the pine nuts if you don’t have any. It will still taste amazing. You can always use walnuts, almonds, or cashews or any other type of nut you have on hand.
  • Add additional olive oil to get the texture you want.
  • Use any herb you want – mint, parsley and cilantro all work great.
  • Get creative and add in things like sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers and even goat cheese!
