Ingredients

1 box elbow macaroni
2 cans medium shrimp, drained
1-2 cups mayonnaise
3 celery stalks, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Trust me when I tell you this is so simple and good. My mom gets asked to make it at every family gathering - basically, anytime we see her!

Instructions

1.Cook macaroni according to the directions on the box.
2.Drain macaroni and pour into a large bowl.
3.Add 1-2 cups mayonnaise and stir.
4.Add shrimp and celery and mix until everything is combined.
5.Cover and place in refrigerator.
6.Once cooled, usually 1-2 hours, remove from the refrigerator and add about another ½ -1 cup of mayonnaise.
7.Add salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • Trust me when I tell you this is so simple and just so good. My mom gets asked to make it at every family gathering – well, basically, anytime we see her!
  • Trust the process with the mayo. When you add it to the warm pasta and then refrigerate, the mayonnaise gets absorbed quite a bit, actually.  After it is chilled, you can add as much or as little as you would like.
  • You can use any kind of canned shrimp you can find.
  • Celery is optional, but it does add a nice little crunch.
  • Do not forget to salt and pepper this to your liking!
