Ingredients

1 stick unsalted butter
15 sage leaves
Salt to taste
This could be a candle. It smells so good. A nice option to serve something other than a red sauce with your pasta.

Instructions

1.Heat a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add butter; cook until it starts to bubble, about 2-3 minutes.
2.Add the sage, and cook until the butter starts to turn golden-brown in color, about 2 to 4 minutes.
3.Season with salt.
4.Remove from heat and serve it immediately over your favorite pasta.

Notes

  • This could be a candle. It smells so good. A nice option to serve something other than a red sauce with your pasta.
  • I prefer to make this with a stainless-steel skillet, but any pan will work.
  • Be careful to melt the butter slowly and over lower heat; otherwise, it will burn instead of brown and have a bitter taste.
  • We like to add in some parmesan cheese right before tossing it with our favorite pasta.
  • Our two favorite pastas to use this sauce with are gnocchi and ravioli.
