Ingredients

1-2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound ground chicken or ground turkey
½ cup hoisin sauce
4 garlic cloves, diced
1 medium onion, diced
3 – 4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1-2 tablespoons ginger, freshly grated (paste works too)
4-6 ounces cream cheese, softened
Wonton wrappers
3 green onions, chopped
Salt to taste
These will go really quickly! They are creamy deliciousness that you just can’t resist.

Instructions

1.Heat olive oil in large pan over medium heat. Add your ground meat and cook until all the meat is browned. Add salt to taste. Drain fat.
2.Add onions and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
3.Add garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and ginger and cook for 2 minutes.
4.Remove pan from heat and mix in cream cheese.
5.Place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Dab the edges of the wonton wrapper with water and fold into triangle. Press firmly to seal removing air from the inside. Continue until all of your filling is used.

Notes

  • These will go really quickly! They are creamy deliciousness that you just can’t resist.
  • Where can you find wonton wrappers? They’re usually located in the refrigerated area of the produce section, where they have tofu and egg roll wrappers.
  • You can fold them into any shape you would like! I find it easiest to fold them into triangles and feel they seal tighter this way.
  • Pro tip – make the Car Pool Lettuce Wraps for dinner. Then just mix the leftover mixture with the cream cheese, and your filling is all ready to go! Depending on how much meat mixture you have left over, you may need to reduce the amount of cream cheese you are using.
