Ingredients

¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3 cups powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoons cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Sweet with a little bit of spice. The perfect light and fluffy icing with just the right amount of spice from the cinnamon. Pairs well with any cake or cupcake but is perfect for my Apple Spiced Cupcakes.

Instructions

1.Using a stand mixer, beat the butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
2.Add the heavy cream, vanilla, cinnamon and salt to the butter mixture.
3.Beat on medium for 2 minutes; then on high for another 2 minutes; finally on medium for 1 minute.

Notes

  • Sweet with a little bit of spice. The perfect light and fluffy icing with just the right amount of spice from the cinnamon. Pairs well with any cake or cupcake but is perfect for my Apple Spiced Cupcakes.
  • If you want a stronger cinnamon flavor, go ahead and add more! Add it slowly, as you can always add more, but you can’t take it away!
  • You can substitute milk for heavy cream if needed.
  • Add additional heavy cream or milk little by little to get your desired consistency.
  • Make it ahead and store it in an airtight container until ready to use.
