Ingredients

¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
2-3 tablespoons heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Clearly a household favorite! Delicious, light and fluffy and the perfect topping for any cake or cupcake.

Instructions

1.Using a stand mixer, beat the butter until fluffy. Add powdered sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder and mix until combined.
2.Add in the heavy cream, vanilla and salt to the mixer.
3.Beat on medium for 2 minutes; then on high for another 2 minutes; finally on medium for 1 minute.

  • Clearly a household favorite! Delicious, light and fluffy and the perfect topping for any cake or cupcake.
  • We tend to add a bit more vanilla, but that’s just our personal preference.
  • Easy to make ahead and store in an airtight container until ready to use.
