Ingredients

1 bottle pinot grigio or your favorite white wine
1 cup caramel-flavored vodka
5 cups apple cider
2 medium apples, thinly sliced or chopped
Caramel sauce, optional
I love fall. I love just about everything about it – college football, playoff baseball, Halloween, sweater weather and the kick-off to the holiday season. This drink is all things fall. Perfect for any get-together, Halloween party, sitting by the firepit or just because. It’s like a cup of apple cider with a little cozy kick.

Instructions

1.Combine the apple cider and caramel syrup, stirring until the caramel dissolves.
2.Thinly slice or chop your apples and add to the bottom of your pitcher.
3.Add the apple cider mixture, wine and caramel vodka to the pitcher and stir.
4.Let the sangria chill in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours.
5.To create a sugar rim on your glasses, pour a little water onto a plate. Pour about ¼ cup white sugar on another plate. Dip the rim of the glass in the water; then press it into the sugar.
6.Add ice to each glass and pour your sangria over the ice. Top off with a caramel drizzle and enjoy!

Notes

  • I love fall. I love just about everything about it – college football, playoff baseball, Halloween, sweater weather and the kick-off to the holiday season. This drink is all things fall. • Any white wine will do. I like to use a Sauvignon Blanc, but pino grigio, chardonnay, or even a riesling all taste great.
  • I wouldn’t spend a lot of money on this bottle of wine but don’t go too cheap either.
  • I love using caramel vodka, but if you can’t find any, you can use plain vodka and just add extra caramel to your apple cider mixture.
  • You can leave the caramel out if it’s too sweet for your liking.
  • Pace yourself, this is the kind of drink that goes down easily if you know what I mean!
