Ingredients

6-8 strips of bacon
8-10 slices of white bread
Cherry tomatoes
Butter lettuce
Mayonnaise
Be sure to make plenty. These little guys will go quickly! Avoid placing the tomato as the first layer on your bread. It helps the bread not to become soggy.

Instructions

1.Cook bacon until crisp and drain excess fat on a paper towel.
2.Roll your bread into thin pieces using a rolling pin. Cut the bread into small circles using a round cookie cutter or glass.
3.Using the same cookie cutter or use a glass to cut the lettuce into small round circles.
4.Once the bacon is cooled, cut each slice into about 3 or 4 bite-sized pieces. It will depend on how big your slice of bacon is.
5.Add a layer of mayonnaise to each of the bread cutouts.
6.Layer the bread, lettuce, bacon and tomato on to a skewer.

  • I like to throw my bread cutouts onto a cookie sheet and lightly toast them. Just let them lightly brown in a 350° oven for a few minutes.
  • If you are making a larger batch, you can cook your bacon in the oven. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the bacon on the baking sheet. Cook at 400° for 15-18 minutes or until your bacon is crispy.
  • Avoid placing the tomato as the first layer on your bread. It helps the bread to not become soggy.
